Graduate Fashion Week 2019

Earlier this year I submitted work to be considered for the 'New Fashion Media Award' at Graduate Fashion Week 2019. My project surrounded sustainability, and developed into a business proposition for an app to help consumers be more sustainable in their fashion habits. On the 'My Work' page you can see an example of the app.

I applied for the award, and my lecturers chose my work to send to the GFW judges. In the following days I heard from GFW saying I was shortlisted for the New Fashion Media Award! This meant that I would be going to Graduate Fashion Week and exhibiting my work there.

I arrived and displayed my work out on the Nottingham Trent University stand, surrounded by the brilliant displays of work by the other fashion students. Scroll for photos.

Even though I did not get picked to be a finalist, I enjoyed exhibiting my work and talking to the judges about my project. The judges for my award were; Fenn O'Meally, Amy Brewster, Rosa Kimosa and Scott Wimsett.
