This year I graduated University, before doing so we held a final year degree show, to showcase all our work to friends, family, the university and people in industry. My role was as a 'Creative Concept Team Member'. In this role I contributed to the theme of the show with was 'FMB X Originate'. As all of our projects revolved around differing future trends, we themed it around the future and how we can impact it.
We wanted the show to be a sensory experience, to separate the space from the rest of the exhibition and the other courses' shows. We did this by darkening the room, shutting the blinds, adding diffusers around to give the room a scent and by installing neon lighting. We had a challenge trying to create a high standard experience whilst also sticking to a budget and time frame, all while still completing our final projects.
We selected the core colours to be used throughout the show and the branding. We wanted the show to be an experience for those not associated with the course, for them to interact with the theme too. We added interactive elements like a pledge wall, free postcards, a selfie mirror and token boxes. As well as this we cut out quotes from students' work; a quote from my project was featured on the wall.
On the Degree Show opening night, I was awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year award from my lecturers.
Here are some photographs from the show.
